The original kitchen was confined by a load-bearing wall and a bar-height counter, creating a separation from the living area. Our design aimed to retain minimal load-bearing support while removing the barrier wall and counter to create an open and expansive space. The centerpiece of the newly transformed kitchen/living area is a spacious island, invitingly anchoring the entire space.
