Our Design Consultation service is an essential step in our design-build process, ensuring that our designers fully understand your needs and dedicate the necessary effort to create a kitchen concept tailored to your lifestyle and crafted to last by our in-house cabinet makers.
Once booked, one of our expert designers will visit your home to assess the space, take measurements, and gather a detailed brief. They will also provide personalized advice on style, layout and finishes to perfectly complement the rest of your home This typically takes 1-1.5 hours.
If your property is tenanted or not yet accessible, you can still proceed with your consultation. Simply schedule an appointment at our Oakleigh South Showroom. Over coffee, we’ll guide you through the process—just bring along any measurements, photos, or plans you have.
Around 1.5 to 2 weeks after the initial consultation, we will invite you back to our showroom to present the proposed design concept and a comprehensive project proposal. Our transparent costing system ensures there are no surprises—each element of the project is itemized, from cabinetry and benchtop to trade estimates, providing a clear project total with no hidden fees.
Our Design Consultation is not a Design Only service, or just a quote—it’s the foundation of our complete design-build process, carefully tailored for clients ready to bring their dream kitchen to life with us.

*Redeemable Consultation Fee Policy:
[1] Design Consultation Fee is fully redeemable when you proceed with your project with us. The fee will be automatically deducted from your quotation.
[2] The fee covers design for one room only. Additional costs apply to additional rooms. CK will redesign once changes are required. Additional rooms or major redesigns will incur additional costs at $132 per hour (minimum 1 hour). All prices are inclusive of GST.
[3] Initial concept designs are presented as Black & White 3D drawings. No elevations or measurements are included.
